Sonja Hedstrom, a locally renowned textile artist who features annually in the Margaret River Region Open Studios, showcases her one-of-a-kind handmade rugs at Origins Market. You can often see Sonja creating beautiful Nordic handwoven rugs using recycled textiles. Along on her traditional Finnish floor loom at the market,. As a qualified textile artisan Sonja designs and creates each unique rug sustainably and ethically using traditional Finnish floor looms. The end result is a mixture of deep Nordic tradition and Australian beach lifestyle.
