Cassandra Bynder is Noongar/Yamatji/third gen Australian woman, a modern storyteller, an intuitive artist, creative explorer of her experience as a mixed race woman, modern-day mother and human seeking connection and contemplating life. A self taught artist, Cassandra has been expressing and unravelling herself through different mediums over her life, predominantly by using what is available to her at the time. Her work often explores ideas that question the inner world and states of being that bridge the connection between her human experience, the multilayered world humans wander through and the land we walk upon.
Cassandra’s artistic journey has brought many personal triumphs, the greatest being the joy of sharing knowledge and finding resonance with, and inspiring and inviting others in her community to let out their deepest creative selves. As well as her earthy and dreamy artworks, Cassandra creates earrings made from natural elements such as nuts, stone, shells and feathers and facilitates creative and skill based workshops for both adults and kids.
