Origins Market announces the appointment of Pip Close as the new General Manager of Origin Market. A highly experienced senior leader and CEO, Pip succeeds Deon Maas who departs at the end of December, having recently accepted a new role with the organisation following nine months at the helm.
Erceg Management Group General Manager, Michael Di Fulvio explains the appointment will deliver innovation and growth to the market, which opened in early November, to continue and build upon the outstanding work that is delivered by Origins Market vendors and team.
“We are confident that in Pip we have found someone who will lead the organisation with innovation to achieve growth,” said Mr Di Fulvio.
“Pip brings to Origins Market strong business experience as a dynamic and respected senior leader, most recently mentoring tourism operators and overseeing special projects in the region.”
A familiar face in the South West, Ms Close returned to the region in November 2019 following nearly three years as CEO of Tourism Tropical North Queensland. She was previously with Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association for four years, in which time she achieved significant growth and public recognition of the organisation. Her experience and achievements with numerous tourism and hospitality entities in senior management and leadership roles over several years, is also a testament to her capacity to understand and navigate the environment.
Ms Close is an influential and decisive leader who has achieved exceptional financial successes, strong and robust relationships with government, corporate and community sectors, and a high level of personal commitment, professionalism, and integrity.
“It is clear that much has been achieved at Origins Market since opening and the market has a big future and exciting vision, I look forward to bringing my experience, to further build on its success,” said Pip.
