Wheel – 1 hour $20
In only an hour, you can learn how to spin yarn on a traditional spinning wheel. Convert raw fibre into yarn that you can use. In this introductory workshop, you will learn:
- The parts of the wheel
- How to treadle the wheel for spinning and plying
- How to adjust the twist of the yarn
- How to adjust the thickness of the yarn
Spindle – 30 minutes $10
Using a spindle is a very economical way to learn handspinning for a beginner. They are inexpensive to buy, and easy to make.
In 30 minutes you can learn how to spin yarn on a drop spindle. Spindles were the original tool to create a strong continuous fibre from short staples of fibre and is practised in all cultures around the world.

Cancellation By Person Booking – Cancellation of attendance must be made no less than 24 hours of the commencement of the workshop, to receive a refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop will not receive any reimbursement or transfer.
