Family is at the heart of Origins Market, and we’ve got something planned for the whole family to enjoy at our Opening Weekend Launch.
Origins Market will officially open its doors at 10am on Friday 5 November, with local residents getting an exclusive look at over 60 of Western Australia’s best makers, producers and artisans.
But the fun doesn’t stop on Friday! We have a whole weekend of excitement planned with the whole family in mind.
Check out just some of these family-friendly activities you will find at Origins Market:
- Face Painting
Sara Storm will be getting creative between 10am and 2pm daily painting kids’ faces. You can find her (conveniently) located in the workshop space nearby our playground area. - Bee Talks
Centred around our working beehive, proudly featured the centre of the building, our resident apiculturists will be hosting live presentations at 11am and 1pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday chatting all things bees, including answering any of your buzzing questions! - Live entertainment
Margaret River local, Masterchef’s Samira Damirova will be hosting a live cooking demonstration on Saturday 6 November, sharing her love of Azerbaijani cuisine and hand selecting members of the audience to be involved. We also have a long list of exciting local musical talent who will be gracing our stage across the weekend, including:

Our dining area (conveniently located next to our on-site tavern, Homestead at Origins) features food delicacies from around the world, including Latin, Mexican, Italian, Korean, Lebanese, South African and much more…including delicious gelato! Open until 9pm on Friday and Saturday, enjoy a night away from the kitchen.
