Learn embroidery
Learn the basics of embroidery from Sonja Hedstrom of River Rugs. Master basic stitches, how to use an embroidery hoop and explore ideas for designing your own work. Learn from an expert and create a little piece of wall wonder! Suitable for adults and children aged 12+.
Spin your own yarn
Convert raw fibre into yarn on a traditional spinning wheel. In this introductory workshop, you will learn: the parts of the wheel, how to treadle the wheel for spinning and plying, and how to adjust the twist and thickness of the yarn. Discover the beauty of raw spun fibre and make a personal weave all of your own.
Crochet basics
Now you know how to spin your own yarn, the sky’s the limit… Put your new fibre to work (or use the provided yarn) in this introductory crochet class. Learn basic stitches and create your first crochet project. Suitable for ages 8 and above.
Jewellery classes
In this one hour class you will learn the basics of jewellery making. Choose from beads and gems and create earrings, necklaces and bracelets with Kaz of Red Gum Road. Kaz offers classes for kids, mixed groups (adults and children) or join a special adult jewellery making class – Bling and Bubbles!
Work with polymer clay
Judy from JJ Klay will walk you through working with polymer clay to create a unique and personal set of earrings. With kids classes and adult classes available, adults will learn how to create a textured slab, while kids work on the basics of building with polymer clay.
