Celebrate and treat your Dad or father figure to some fun at the Origins Market Father’s Day Festival in Busselton!
Whatever their interests, you’ll find inspiration in the huge line up of events, free activities, exhibits and attractions.
The Father’s Day Big Breakfast kicks off at 8.30am with some incredible dishes from the internationally inspired Origins eateries that you won’t find anywhere else under one roof. For the more adventurous there’s crispy pork belly bahn mi with a hash brown, kangaroo breakfast burger or smoked brisket with poached eggs and cajun hollandaise sauce on waffles. Or for the health conscious smoothie bowls or chia cups.
At 9.30am there’s a decadent coffee and cake tasting where you can enjoy four individually curated treats, matching the flavours in a coffee tasting paddle at the Bean Dreamin of Cakes by Tara event.
From 10am Cook Digs has an awesome brunch option, All Mixed Up ‘Shakshuka Fever‘, with shakshuka and a bloody mary for those Dads that like to sleep in, surf, run, ride, fish or golf first thing. Heard of High Tea, Tora Sushi are proud to introduce High Sushi from 1pm.”
As always you’ll be able to connect directly with quality Western Australian producers and makers, including special popups for the day, free tastings, a series of live kitchen stage demonstrations and meet the maker sessions. Meet the friendly neighbourhood sauceman Alex Gibson, the man behind Busselton’s iconic Jibba’s Hot Sauce from 11am to 2pm.
We are excited to host our first free expo on Father’s Day where visitors will be able to explore a variety of exhibitors showcasing products and services perfect for dad. There’ll be BBQ’s, beard trimmers, bikes, safety gear, hobby farm tractors, stand on mowers, compact diggers, boats, fitness essentials, SUP’s and more.
Not only will the Dads be entertained, there’s free activities for kids including face painting and a peg painting with Dad. The talented artisans at Origins are also hosting a range of workshops including origami, bracelet making workshop with Dad and a watercolour birds workshop.

- Coopers Shortbreads joining us for the day
- Swan River Distilling – enjoy a free gin tasting
- Lamia’s Lebanese will be serving up amazing fatbreads
- Tayib Kebabs to fill hungry tummies with their special kebabs
There’s also fantastic prizes, special offers, competitions and giveaways up for grabs throughout the day.
As well as these special activities visitors can discover more than 65 makers, growers and producers who call Origins home. With everything from some of the best baked goods in the South West, to nationally acclaimed photography and artwork, to handspun yarn and hand-woven rugs, to sustainably-grown hemp foods, an ever-growing range of international eateries, fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as some of the best small cellar wines, ciders and handcrafted spirits WA has to offer.
The Father’s Day Festival is on Sunday 3 September from 8.30am to 6pm, with Obison Coffee Roasters and Dusty Buns open from 7am for the early birds.
